Connect your YouTube channel to Flightcast

Connect the YouTube channel and podcast playlist that contain the episodes you want to manage in Flightcast.

Check the existing connection

Select the podcast and open Podcast Settings → Integrations. If the correct YouTube channel is already connected, use that connection. Follow a reconnect prompt when Flightcast reports that authorization has expired.

Do not disconnect YouTube as a routine setup step. Disconnecting stops video and analytics syncing, and the warning says existing synced data may be lost. Read that warning carefully before making a deliberate disconnect.

Authorize the intended channel

  1. Open the YouTube connection flow if the podcast does not already have the required connection. The setup distinguishes Channel Owner → Sign in with YouTube from Guest, Manager, Editor → Invite channel owner. Use the path that matches your access; do not share the owner’s login.
  2. If you are the channel owner, choose the Google account and YouTube channel you intend to use. Check the channel identity before continuing.
  3. The channel owner should review the specific permissions requested for the connection and the functions Flightcast will perform. Follow the consent shown in the flow rather than selecting unrelated permissions.
  4. The owner completes the connection and returns to Flightcast. If you used Invite channel owner, wait for the owner to complete their connection before checking the result.

Select the podcast playlist

Where offered, choose one of these setup options:

  • Connect an existing playlist containing the podcast episodes.
  • Create a Flightcast playlist and populate it from selected source playlists or channel uploads.

Review the selected content before completing setup. Keep the podcast playlist focused on the eligible long-form episodes you want managed; do not assume every video on the channel will be imported.

If you later need a different playlist, use the playlist-change action available in the connection settings instead of disconnecting the account.

Confirm the result

Check the connected channel and linked playlist in Flightcast, then inspect the imported episode and connection statuses. Authorization, playlist import and analytics refresh can finish at different times.

Connecting a channel does not by itself publish every episode or enable YouTube to Podcast Sync. Configure those workflows separately and review their destinations before confirming. If the channel or playlist is wrong, or access is missing, resolve that setup issue before scheduling an upload.
