Pacing helps distribute campaign delivery across its scheduled time window. It works together with eligibility, priority and available inventory, so a campaign's progress is not a promise of what will serve next.
Set a useful goal and time window
A time-based pace calculation needs a positive delivery goal and valid start and end dates. Review these together before launch. A goal without a complete date window can show delivery progress without a meaningful time-based pace score.
The campaign also needs eligible listeners, compatible slots and ready creatives. A short flight or narrow targeting leaves fewer opportunities to make up a shortfall, so compare the target with available inventory before committing to it.
Understand priority and pacing
In standard campaign delivery, Flightcast checks eligibility and then orders campaigns by priority. Higher-priority campaigns take precedence over lower-priority campaigns.
Within the same priority tier, selection is randomized with pacing-based weights. A campaign that is behind pace gets a greater share of eligible opportunities over time. It is not guaranteed to win the next opportunity, and being behind does not move it above a higher-priority campaign.
Campaigns sufficiently ahead of pace can be temporarily ineligible. As time progresses, that eligibility can change. Equal priority does not mean identical delivery totals.
Understand the goal limit
Flightcast stops selecting a campaign once its observed delivery total reaches the goal. Reporting and cached totals can lag behind delivery, so this is not an exact real-time cap. Do not promise a sponsor that delivery will stop at precisely the target count.
Investigate slow delivery
Check the campaign's active status, dates, goal, targeting, compatible slots and creative readiness. Then review higher-priority campaigns competing for the same inventory and whether the campaign is currently ahead of pace.
Compare like-for-like metrics: Ads reporting uses qualified delivered-ad events, while programmatic revenue estimates use ad starts. Those totals can differ.
Advanced placements and campaign allocation controls are available only to enabled accounts and can change how inventory is assigned. Spotify reporting also depends on the show's connection; do not assume every destination uses an identical reporting cadence or delivery path.
