An episode template saves recurring details so you can start new episodes with consistent copy and settings.
Create a template
You need permission to create episodes for this show. If the option is missing, ask a workspace owner to check your access.
- Select the podcast that will use the template.
- Open the new-episode menu and choose New template.
- Give it a clear name.
- Add reusable details, such as description links, credits, keywords, explicit-content setting and episode type.
- Wait for Flightcast’s save status to confirm the changes before leaving.
Use placeholders or neutral wording for information that changes every episode. Avoid leaving an old guest name, sponsor date or release-specific claim in reusable copy.
Use the template
Open the new-episode menu and select the template. Flightcast creates a new episode from it. Review the copied title, description, metadata and publishing defaults. Check any copied media and destination settings, then add or replace release-specific details. Show settings can override template defaults, so template reuse is not a complete clone of a published episode.
A template is a starting point. Check the episode’s destinations, media, dates and time zone in the publishing review before confirming a release.
Edit or remove a template
Use the template’s menu to open Edit or Delete. Deleting a template is a separate action from deleting an episode; read the confirmation before proceeding. If you only need different details for one release, edit that episode instead.
