Publishing an episode follows four steps: prepare the content, choose destinations and timing, review the saved version, then confirm. Uploading a file or saving text does not publish the episode.
Start a draft
You need permission to create episodes for this show. If the option is missing, ask a workspace owner to check your access.
- Select the correct podcast. Choose New Episode, Blank Episode, or a template available for that show, or open the existing draft you want to publish.
- In Episode Media or Episode Audio, add the supported media. An audio-only episode does not need video; where offered, a video can supply the episode audio.
- Add the title, description, artwork, chapters and any optional metadata you need. Review generated content before applying it.
- Wait for the upload to finish, then follow processing and readiness messages. Upload completion and media preparation are separate.
Choose destinations and timing
Open the episode's publishing controls and enable only intended destinations. YouTube requires video, a connected channel and linked playlist. Spotify must have a ready publishing connection. RSS supplies the episode to apps that use your feed.
Set the main publish date and time, or destination-specific dates where your editor offers them. Check the displayed time zone; Flightcast uses the podcast's time zone when available, with a local fallback.
Review and confirm
Choose Review & Publish or Review & Schedule where shown. Inspect every destination's preview, media, content, dates and warnings. Complete the final Publish or Schedule Publish confirmation.
The review is for the saved version shown in the preview. If you make further edits, save them and run the review again before confirming. Older episodes may show different labels.
After submitting, inspect each destination's status and explanatory messages. A saved draft, completed upload or submitted request does not confirm that all platforms are live; open the destination links to verify the result.
