How to Monetize with Flightcast

Choose a monetization source based on who supplies the ads and who pays you. Setting up an ad slot creates an opportunity for delivery; it does not guarantee that the opportunity will fill or earn revenue.

Check that you’re in the team that owns the show. If Ads or Monetize is unavailable, ask a workspace owner to check your access and show setup.

Run your own sponsor campaigns

Create a campaign in Ads, add the advertiser and upload the creative. Configure the dates, targeting and compatible episode slots, then activate the campaign when it is ready.

Your direct agreement with the sponsor governs payment. Keep sponsor invoices and payment arrangements separate from amounts paid through Flightcast.

Enable programmatic ads

Open an episode's Ad Slots settings and allow programmatic ads in the breaks you want to make available. Review the podcast's Programmatic Ad Serving settings to see which configured provider supplies those breaks.

For future episodes, set pre-roll and post-roll defaults in the podcast's Settings → Monetization → Default Ad Slots. Review existing episodes separately.

For programmatic demand sourced by Flightcast or its demand partners, you receive 90% of Net Revenue and Flightcast retains 10%. Net Revenue means collected revenue after the specified third-party fees, chargebacks, refunds and taxes. Flightcast does not retain a platform fee from publisher-direct campaigns, publisher-provided VAST tags or Spotify payouts unless separately agreed in writing. See section 5 of the Terms of Service.

Programmatic fill and earnings vary. Use estimates for planning, then review statements and adjustments to understand the amount payable. A custom VAST provider pays you directly under your agreement with it; those earnings are separate from Flightcast payouts.

Check Spotify monetization

Open the show's monetization settings and review the Spotify status and any episode-readiness requirements. Submit a request if the option is available, then follow its progress through request, review and active states.

Availability depends on the show's Spotify connection and eligibility. Moving an already monetized show does not guarantee instant approval or uninterrupted earnings.

Prepare for payouts

A workspace owner or admin should open Monetize and complete the payout onboarding available for the account. If payout setup opens Stripe Connect, complete the payment and tax details there. Keep those details up to date through the available payout workflow.

Review each revenue source separately. Estimated earnings, statemented revenue and completed payouts describe different stages. Before budgeting expected earnings, check the applicable source terms, payout minimum, collection status and account readiness. A displayed estimate is not a payment confirmation.
