How to Submit Your Podcast to Directories

Podcast directories let listeners find and play your show in different apps. Use Flightcast’s directory settings to open each platform’s setup instructions and keep its public show link with your podcast.

Before you submit

First, search each directory for your show. If it is already listed, keep that listing. Claim access, ask the existing owner for access, or update its feed when moving hosts. Submitting an existing show again can create a duplicate and split its audience.

For a new submission:

  • Publish at least one episode to your public RSS feed. A published trailer can be your first episode; an uploaded draft does not count.
  • Complete the required show details and check the destination’s artwork and metadata requirements.
  • Confirm that you can copy and open your Flightcast RSS URL. Feed access depends on an active subscription and reaching the RSS redirect or linking stage of onboarding. The directory submission area separately requires a published RSS episode.

Add a directory

  1. Select the correct podcast in Flightcast and open Podcast Settings → Directories.
  2. Open the directory you want to use and review its instructions. Check any integration status before starting a separate submission.
  3. Copy your RSS feed URL. Follow the directory’s official setup flow, sign in if required, and submit the feed only if this is a new listing.
  4. Complete the platform’s validation and review steps. Submission, approval and public availability can happen at different times.
  5. When the platform provides your public show URL, open it and confirm that it belongs to your show.
  6. Paste that public show URL into the matching directory field in Flightcast and save it. This field is for the listening-platform link, not the RSS feed.

Repeat these steps for the destinations you want. A saved link records where your show is listed; it does not confirm that a platform approved your submission or that every episode is playable.

For an existing show moving to Flightcast, preserve episode GUIDs and use the old host’s redirect and the destination’s feed-update process. Do not delete or recreate the listing to troubleshoot a delay. Video destinations may also need their own connection, eligibility check or opt-in.
