Use Fey to explore your analytics

Fey helps you ask questions about the analytics and episode information available to your account. It is useful for comparisons and trends, but important answers should be checked against the underlying data.

Ask a focused question

Open Fey or the AI Data Analyst entry available in your workspace. State the show, time range and metric you care about.

For example:

  • “Compare this podcast’s first-seven-day Spotify streams for its last five episodes.”
  • “How did YouTube views change between the last two complete months?”
  • “Which episodes had the strongest first-week performance, and what data is missing?”

A narrow question makes it easier to check that the answer uses the right dates and sources.

Choose a mode

Where the mode selector is available, Fast is intended for quick analytics questions. Thinking is intended for more involved reasoning. Neither mode guarantees a correct answer, and response time varies.

Verify the answer

Check which episodes, sources and dates were included. Missing data is different from a measured zero. Platform retention snapshots may have different coverage from a date-filtered plays report.

If Fey says Spotify data stopped after your show migrated, compare the dashboard’s current Spotify totals. The older Spotify import can stop intentionally when reporting moves to Flightcast’s current integration. Do not disconnect or reconnect solely because Fey reports that cutoff.

Ask a follow-up when a source or calculation is unclear. If the answer still conflicts with the dashboard, send support the question, response, show, metric and dates.

Create episode copy in the editor

For supported AI title, description and chapter generation, use the controls in the episode editor and review the result before applying it. Analytics chat and episode metadata generation are different workflows.

Do not put passwords or access tokens into a prompt.
