Use the Inventory Planner to estimate how much ad inventory is available for a campaign's dates and audience. Check the forecast before quoting a sponsor, then review it again as bookings and audience activity change.
Check that you’re in the team that owns the show. If Ads is unavailable, ask a workspace owner to check your access and show setup.
Choose the inventory you want to review
Open the inventory planner in Ads and choose the date range for the proposed campaign. Use the country and delivery filters to match the inventory you intend to sell.
The planner's All delivery view combines RSS Download and RSS Streaming inventory served by Flightcast. It does not include Spotify or every connected destination. A narrower delivery filter changes the supply included in the forecast, so compare figures using the same filters.
Read the forecast
- Capacity: the number of impressions projected from recent listening history.
- Sold or booked: impressions already committed to campaigns.
- Held: inventory provisionally reserved while a deal is being discussed.
- Available after holds: the remaining projected inventory to consider when quoting another campaign.
A hold reduces the availability shown for sales planning. It does not block ad delivery. In a single-delivery view, booked and held amounts are apportioned using that delivery's share of supply; they are not a separate set of delivery-specific bookings.
Use the country breakdown to check whether enough inventory exists in the campaign's target market. The matrix view helps compare bookings and holds over a longer period. Forecast capacity is an estimate, so allow for changes in listening and competing campaigns before making a delivery commitment.
Interpret programmatic fill
Programmatic context shows historical VAST fill during elapsed days. It does not forecast future fill or prove that the filled opportunities will become payable revenue.
If a market has substantial inventory and low historical fill, review the time period, geography, permitted ad sources and provider configuration. A custom VAST provider may be an option, but adding one does not guarantee more fill or higher earnings. New provider configurations require setup before they can be selected for the podcast.
