Flightcast can distribute a show through its configured Spotify integration, but the next step depends on that show’s connection and distribution status. Completing Flightcast setup or uploading a file does not guarantee immediate Spotify publication.
Check the show you already have
Before starting a new submission, look for your existing Spotify show URL. If the show is already on Spotify, keep that listing. Claiming access, updating its RSS feed and setting up distribution are different tasks.
- Select the correct podcast in Flightcast.
- Open the podcast’s Directories settings and inspect Spotify. Also check the Spotify connection in Integrations when prompted.
- Confirm that at least one episode is published through the intended distribution path. An uploaded draft is not a published episode.
- Use the current status to choose the next step:
- A show link is available: open it and verify the show and expected episodes.
- Distribution is processing: let the current process finish and check its status rather than submitting another copy.
- A sync has failed: review the displayed error and provide it to Flightcast support with the show URL or ID. Do not disconnect or recreate the show to clear the message.
- The show is linked but its URL is missing: locate the existing public Spotify show page and save that link in Flightcast where offered.
- No Spotify connection is configured: follow the setup instructions offered for your show. Do not assume automatic submission has already happened.
If you cannot find it on Spotify
Open the direct show URL before relying on search. Spotify search indexing can take a few hours, so an absent search result does not necessarily mean the listing is unavailable. Also check for incomplete linking, failed distribution and unpublished episodes.
If you need Spotify for Creators access to an existing listing, use its claim flow. For an existing show moving hosts, update its feed/provider in Spotify for Creators Settings and complete the migration instructions. Spotify cannot merge followers or data between duplicate versions, so keep the original listing while investigating.
