Start by checking the show, date range and metric you are comparing. A missing number can mean that a source is still updating, a metric is unavailable for that source, or an episode is not matched correctly. It does not always mean an account is disconnected.
Check the comparison
- Select the correct podcast and episode, if applicable.
- Compare the same dates and time zone. A partial day can differ from a completed day.
- Compare equivalent metrics. YouTube views, Spotify streams and RSS downloads use different counting rules.
- Check whether Flightcast is showing a total, a platform breakdown, or a historical import. Data may arrive from a hosting provider even when the audience listened on Spotify or another app.
Avoid adding separate source totals together unless their coverage is known. Overlapping imports can count the same activity twice.
Spotify data stops around a migration date
For a migrated show, the older Spotify analytics import can stop intentionally while Spotify activity continues through Flightcast’s current reporting integration.
Check the Spotify totals in the Flightcast dashboard for the affected dates. Do not disconnect or reconnect solely because the old source has no newer rows, or because Fey says that source stopped.
If current totals are also missing, or you are unsure whether migration finished, contact support. We need to check the active integration, transition date and coverage before recommending a connection change. A source transition does not prove that every metric or historical period is complete.
A newly connected source or an older date range is missing
Historical coverage depends on the provider, available exports, account access and what has finished importing. Connecting a source does not guarantee that every historical metric is available immediately.
Follow any import or connection status shown in Flightcast. If setup asks for the Flightcast extension, use that specific flow. Reinstalling an extension or reconnecting every account is not a general fix for server-managed analytics.
For missing YouTube episodes, check that the relevant videos belong to the playlist selected for your podcast. Refreshing a playlist and refreshing analytics are different operations. Before manually matching episodes, confirm that the items are the same release.
Fey and dashboard numbers disagree
Check the dashboard directly using the same metric and dates. Ask Fey which source and date range it used. AI answers can misinterpret an expected provider transition or incomplete coverage; use the underlying data to verify the answer.
What to send support
Contact support@flightcast.com or use in-app support. Include:
- Your podcast and the affected episode, if there is one
- The metric and date range
- The value shown in Flightcast and the value you expected
- A screenshot or export from the comparison source
- Whether the show recently migrated or changed integrations
Do not send account passwords or access tokens. Leave working connections in place while the issue is checked.
