Update fields on a live or scheduled episode

Use the episode’s update review to change published or scheduled content. Working changes and published changes are separate, so check the final review before sending edits to a destination.

Edit the episode

  1. Open the correct live or scheduled episode.
  2. Edit the title, description, chapters or other field you need to change.
  3. To change a supported field for only one destination, open its Customize controls where available and enter the destination-specific value.
  4. Follow the editor’s save-state indicator. If your editor requires a manual save, save the working changes before continuing.

The newer editor and older episodes can show different controls. Do not assume every episode has the same autosave behavior or platform-specific fields.

Review the changes

In the current editor, select Review Changes. The update preview shows the affected destinations and changes to inspect. Older versions may describe this as a preview-and-update action.

Check that a destination-specific edit applies only where you intend. For a schedule change, verify the date, time and time zone. For description or chapter changes, check the destination’s preview and any customized version.

Media replacement needs extra care. A Flightcast-managed YouTube replacement creates a new video, makes the old one private and starts the new upload at zero views. Imported YouTube videos cannot be replaced through that reviewed replacement path. Spotify media behavior depends on the show’s provider.

Publish and verify

When the preview is correct, confirm Publish Edits where shown. That submits the reviewed update; it does not guarantee every destination has finished applying it.

Inspect each destination’s status and open the affected episode links to verify the result. If an update remains pending, reports an error or disagrees with the destination, collect the episode link and exact message for support. Do not unpublish, cancel a schedule or upload another copy just to force an uncertain edit through.
