Flightcast can import historical analytics from supported providers. Coverage depends on the host, your access, the data still available there and the import method for your show.
Importing episode media and importing historical analytics are separate tasks. A successful media import does not prove that every old metric has arrived.
Providers and setup
The current onboarding flow has managed historical-import routes for Libsyn, Simplecast, Acast, Captivate, Omny Studio, Transistor, Buzzsprout and SoundStack. Follow the provider-specific access instructions shown in Flightcast.
Spotify for Creators uses a separate managed verification flow. Substack and Megaphone can use a different, extension-assisted path when that is offered.
For another provider, ask support to check the available import method. Do not treat an older “unsupported” list as proof that no assisted import is possible, or assume that an internal importer is available to every account.
Review the requested access
Use the provider-specific recipient and instructions shown by Flightcast, and scope access to the intended show where your host supports it. Review the role before granting access. Analytics-only or viewer roles exist on some providers, but not every import connection is read-only: Buzzsprout’s Editor role can publish, and some setup paths request administrative access. Ask support if a requested role is broader than you expect. Do not substitute an arbitrary admin role or send your own password.
Before redirecting or cancelling your old host
Keep access to the original account and download any exports you want to retain.
For hosts such as Acast and Captivate, redirecting away can remove access needed for historical analytics. Finish the required import and verify its coverage before redirecting. Follow any migration lock or warning shown in Flightcast.
Check what was imported
Review the date range, episode matching and available metrics. Some providers expose show-level totals rather than directly measured daily data for every episode. An imported allocation should not be treated as a platform’s observed per-episode count.
Deleted episodes, unavailable historical fields and restricted access can limit the result. No provider listing guarantees every demographic, retention curve or day of history.
For Spotify migrations, the old-source cutoff helps prevent overlap with current Flightcast reporting. Do not restart that import or reconnect solely to fill a period already covered by the current source.
If something is missing
Contact support with the old host, show, date range and metric. Include an available export or screenshot showing the missing period. Do not send passwords, cookies or access tokens in chat.
